It
was hard to get back to photography. Somehow in all the sadness I couldn’t seem
to pick up the camera. “What’s worth photographing?” I told myself. I wanted to
but had no creative energy with in me. But I did have hope; hope that soon I
would find the joy to take pictures.

Back to Normal
The purpose of this blog is to showcase my best photos. My best photo this isn't but it important to me. Slowly, ever so slowly life is getting back to normal after the awful tornado that destroyed my home and forever changed our lives. The house we rented, while our new home is being built, has a converted garage that I have set up as my studio. Madison and Evan have always worked right along with me making projects and watching movies while I do my work. This day we were all in this small room and I noticed what was happening. Nothing special, just our normal... just being together. It made my heart full of joy.

Heartbreak
In this blog I feature my photos but this photo was taken by my sister. This is a view of what's left of my house. We are fine except for our broken hearts.

Show Stopping
Have you ever seen such a dramatic iris? I was amazing but the bold eye popping yellow. This was from the Will Rogers Park iris garden where there were other unusual varieties just as show stopping.

Good Company
Recently I got to go to Will Rogers Park in Oklahoma City to take pictures. It was a little overcast but that just made the color more intense and for the most part it was a perfect shoot. Of course the company of my sister made the outing even better!

A New World
Still learning my new Canon Rebel and I love how it opens up a new tiny world for me. I never realized Columbine stamens had those little pillowy pads. I love the light in this picture, soft and subtle.
