Hello Cutie

Recently bought a box of Cutie oranges and oh how I love them. Except they are so tiny you need two or three .... or?...

One Bright January Morning...

Cherry and I went on a photo walk around Sulphur and Davis Oklahoma. The bridge in the background is called the Lincoln Bridge and was our reason for this location. It's fun to go on photo walks with Cherry, I enjoy seeing what catches her eye. Plus it's great to share this passion with her.

Strolling Along

There's nothing better than strolling about the canal on sunny afternoon in January. Of course we might have a blizzard the next day but that's part of the entertainment of living in Okie-land.

Topless Homework

I can't really express why  I like the photo so much. It's not really a great quality photo but it still makes me feel good. The light on his shoulder is perfect. His hands ready to write the answer. He doesn't even know I'm there. Or maybe it's that all the love I have for the boy is reflected in this photo. Yes, that's it.

The Falls of My Childhood

In quick trip to Davis and a stop at Turner Falls. It's show its age but still a nice stop.

Mint?

I'm still in love with my Santa cup and while all other Christmas stuff is packed away he has been granted a reprieve.  I love him that much, plus he holds my peppermints. Gotta love a handy man.

Alien Visitation

So last Friday Tom heads about before the sun is up to find those garage sales bargains he so loves. He is gone less than a minute and my cell phone rings. "Go outside" he says "and bring your camera". Now I don't always do what he says, especially this early when I'm a bit (okay a lot) cranky but this time I did.

The sky looked ominous and surreal  like any minute a alien spaceship would land and we humans would be used as rocket fuel or something. I snapped this picture with my iPhone, my preferred camera and I did no post editing. This is just how it looked. Thankfully  it was just the precursor to a cold snap, no human rocket fuel today.  Whew!

Past to Present

There are time when an image can bring back a clear and vivid memory so real you touch it. So real you know you can close your eyes and step right into the past and wear it like a coat.

Christmas Lily

Tom bought a simple bouquet of red and white flowers at Walmart the day before Christmas. Not expensive but priceless none the less. I especially love how the white petals turn pale green at the throat of the lily. Yes, priceless.

It's a New Year

A time for new beginnings and reflections of the past. A time for new resolutions and keeping what works. And remember, every day is a gift, spend it wisely!
