Battle Stations Men!

This is on the dam at Lake Overholser (better know as "hold her closer") and to me it looks like cannons on a castle wall. The wind was so cold coming off the lake I didn't linger after this picture. Yikes, where are my mittens!

Bowing to the Wind

I went to check on my daffodils to see how they were standing up to the cold and snow. Still lovely though bent against the wind. This reminds me that life is filled with wonder and beauty but still tough times will cause you to bend and suffer. We persevere, don't we?

Fix it Grammie

Maddie came in from school and I told her I wanted to take some pictures of her but her hair was a mess.
"Then fix it Grammie!" she said. Goodness sake she's such a smart girl. And cute... and funny... and all mine!

Wet Stuff

It's been so long since we have had enough moisture. Wet or frozen it's all appreciated and oh so needed.

Pucker Up

I love this picture, sure it's just a lemon slice. But what a slice!  I love the detailed and the light shining through the lemon. I love the embedded seeds and that shadow in the foreground. Yes, I'm a geek. I admit it. Now, where is my iced tea?

Bowl Of Oranges

I love the light in January and how it makes the color of the oranges look so yummy. I love the shadows too, it's that odd?  To love the shadows. I love the texture of the oranges and the fabric placemat below them. As you can tell, it doesn't take much to make me happy.
